Re-opening, Training & Safety

Your health and safety is our top concern.  Here are the safety measures that we’re implementing to stop the spread of COVID-19 and get you back into active physical workouts.  This page will be updated as the situation evolves and health recommendations and regulations are revised.

 

Training Options

 

We are now open, in accordance with provincial and municipal regulations for in-person training, outdoors and in approved studio facilities.  Please check out the Training page for more information on our training opportunities. 1:1 and partner training is now available.  We  also have small outdoor bootcamp training options which are socially distant and in accordance with local limits on socially distant gatherings. 

Screening

 

All appointment bookings will include a screening questionnaire to screen for possible exposure to COVID-19.  If you have been exposed, or believe you may have been exposed and are awaiting a test result, please do not book or attend a session until you have been tested and received confirmation of a negative test. 

Since bookings are taken in advance, all clients will be screened again at check-in for your session / class. 

Cleaning

  • All training equipment will be fully sanitized between clients using a disinfectant confirmed to be effective against SARS-Co-V-2 by Health Canada

Trainers

  • Wear masks at all times during the training session and as required by the studio

  • Use hand sanitizer when entering the studio and frequently throughout the day

  • Use disinfectant wipes on equipment before and after use in addition to studio’s cleaning protocols

Clients

  • Fill-out and sign form regarding current health status immediately upon arrival.  Questions will be driven by local health regulations, based on current situations and will include:

  1. Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?

  2. Have you tested positive for COVID-19, OR had close contact with someone who is sick or has a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

  3. Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite.

  4. Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined? 

  • Agree to all required procedures and protocols before and during their visit, making sure they follow the guidelines effectively.  (Facility procedures and protocols will be shared on confirmation of your booking)

  • Use hand sanitizer when entering the studio and frequently throughout their visit, and use of face mask as outlined by the studio.

  • Use disinfectant wipes on equipment before and after use in addition to studio’s cleaning protocols.

Personal Training Sessions

  • Clients and Personal Trainers will always remain two metres (6 ft.) apart, unless a client requires support mid-lift to prevent an injury.

  • Minimize touching surfaces or equipment during training sessions. E.g. spotting, picking up equipment for clients.

  • Personal Trainers and Members will be asked to follow all studio policies and protocols when training inside a facility.

  • All personal training, partner training, and group training sessions will be set-up so clients remain at least 2 - 3 meters apart during the training session, as dictated by local health regulations

  • All group training sessions are by reservation only to limit the number of participants in accordance with local health regulations
